Kimmel Center Jazz Residency Artist 2016-2017

kimmel-center-buildingVery happy and honored to announce that I am one of three composers selected out of twenty nine applicants for the 2016-2017 Kimmel Center Jazz Residency Artist. The Kimmel Center is the official home of the world renowned Philadelphia Orchestra and other major events.

The residency will allow the selected composers to have new original works commissioned  for the purpose of introducing audiences to their work and in most cases a collaboration with artist from other disciplines. I will be collaborating with award winning playwright and Yale University Drama Professor Deborah Margolin.

Progressive performances will be held at the Kimmel Center culminating with the final performance in May 2017.
